The School Management Information System (SMIS) is an offline using the Local Area Network (LAN) and WiFi connections inside the school campus and or online database management system for teachers to update the school forms as supplementary documents for the Learner’s Information System (LIS) managed by the DepEd Central Office. Mr. Roy R. Pintor, Principal 1 of Dalaguete NHS subscribed a domain with Zoom Hosting and it was launched on May 4, 2020 right after he communicated Mr. Fernando B. Enad, the SMIS Developer, a teacher of San Agustin National High School, Sagbayan, Bohol.
The SMIS has a Web App Version 1.29 with its application name: School Management Information System updated on March 15, 2020 by Mr. Enad, the program developer. The SMIS Web App and its user interface are protected by the Memorandum of Agreement signed between the Division of Bohol (DepEd), Regional Office 7 (DepEd) and the Developer. The contract stated that any unauthorized deployment and or redistribution of this Web Application will be sanctioned administratively.
This product is licensed to DepEd – Division of Bohol and DepEd – Region 7 under the terms and conditions stipulated in the Memorandum of Agreement.
The SMIS can produce school forms 1 to 8, Class List, Class Program, Grade Slip, Report Card, Class Summary, and Form 137. It can also produce Class Schedule, Attendance Records, Prospectus, Anecdotal Records, Student Billings/Accounts Tracker, Transaction Report, and Transaction Summary. The system can also produce Class Assignment, Input Grades per Subject, DTR, Attendance Reports, and SALN. The system is a user friendly with Admin/User Account Features, such as My Account, and Administrative Tools, namely: Site Settings, User Administration, SF 7 Header Data, Class Sectioning, Dropdown Configuration. And technically the system has also the following administrative features, such as Updates: Version Updates, and Database Updates; and lastly, the system has the most important features like Backup and Restore, such as Backup Database, and Restore Backup. The subject teachers, as users of SMIS shall be the ones to log-in at http://mis.dalaguetenhs.ph/login.php?prev_url=/ using their User Accounts with password and key-in the grades of students using a laptop or desktop computer. The class adviser shall also update the advisory class-learners’ profiles and other documents. The registrar or class advisers shall print the Grade Slips at the end of the quarter or print the Report Card at the end of the school year, or at the end of the second semester, or at times when needed for learners who decide to transfer to other school and for learners who decide to apply a scholarship program.
